As is reported, the news that the self-portrait of Van Gogh collected in Oslo National Art Gallery might be probably a fake did not embarrass the gallery. On the contrary, the painting, being classified into the “portrait” category once again, becomes one of the most attractive ones of the gallery. To release the security staff from the endless questions asked by tourists, Oslo National Art Gallery hung the photo of the painting in the hall and indicated its location in the gallery. The painting draws a confused face against a bluey-green background, the only portrait after Van Gogh cut his left ear off.
