A Lecture on Lifelong Education
On March 11th, at the invitation of the Department of Education, Professor Wang, an expert on lifelong education, delivered a lecture titled Lifelong Learning in Digital Age in the lecture hall. The lecture was chaired by Professor Zheng, head of the Education Department, and more than 300 teachers and students participated in the lecture.
Professor Wang started with the importance of lifelong learning as digital information is changing every aspect of the world, education included. Secondly, he analyzed the critical factors in practicing lifelong learning, pointing out that the importance of cultivating a growth mindset. Thirdly, he took Denmark as an example and explained how the local adults kept learning, which then promoted the local cultural and economic development. Finally, he summarized and proposed some initiatives of education reforms, including promoting the all-round development of individual.
Professor Wang’s lecture deepened students’ understanding of lifelong learning and inspired them to be good learners in future.
