How to Bridge the Generation Gap?

Nowadays, many families are facing the problem of the generation gap. We often hear some frustrated parents say that their children are behaving unreasonably, while some hopeless children complain that their parents are stubborn.

There are many reasons resulting in the generation gap. Among those, the different growing environments play a vital role. The two generations grow up in different social backgrounds, which inevitably vary their values. Besides, many parents are too busy to spend time in communicating with their kids. Considering the great inconvenience brought about by the generation gap, it is high time that both parents and children made efforts to bridge the generation gap. Firstly, parents should keep pace with the time, trying their best to view things from their children’s perspectives. Secondly, children should learn to be considerate to their parents and express properly when communicating with them. Thirdly, parents and children should spend more time together and share experiences and thoughts with each other.
