The Losing of Traditional Culture

It is widely noted that some traditional culture is disappearing along with the development of technology. Many ancient architectures and traditional ways of living have been deserted. It seems that certain traditional culture and craftsmanship will be replaced in modern society.

The following reasons can ac-count for the above phenomenon. Firstly, traditional technologies are al-ways considered ineffective while the new technologies are always highly efficient, with the help of which we can save much money and time in both daily life and academic studies. Secondly, it is costly to protect the traditional culture, especially the maintenance and repair of the historical buildings.

In my opinion, traditional culture is an essential part of Chinese culture. And it is inevitable to take advantage of the traditional culture in the process of building our harmonious society. Therefore, we should take its essence and combine it with the mod-ern culture in order to pass it down better to the next generation.
