Although young people on the Mainland and in Taiwan live in different social circumstances, and have different experiences of life, deep in the bottom of their hearts, they’re marked with the splendid Chinese culture and tradition and it’s their common ideal to rejuvenate the Chinese nation. The great epoch at the turn of the century witnesses our motherland on her way towards prosperity and powerfulness. Also, people on both sides along the Taiwan Strait will promote their contacts, jointly pushing forward the great task of reunifying our motherland as quickly as possible. The turn of the century provides a precious opportunity as well as a great challenge, which has pushed the young to the front edge of the history. What attitude should the younger generation adopt at the turn of the century to usher in the new century that is full of hope? This is the question that should now be addressed by us.
