As is vividly depicted in the picture, a person is browsing users’ private information through a magnifying glass, which shows that users’ personal data is collected and disclosed through an app. This has been a common phenomenon and should be considered seriously.

There is no doubt that information disclosure will produce negative influences on users. The companies running such apps may collect users’ personal information for illegal trading, which brings much trouble for our daily lives such as spam messages and fraud calls. Besides, some apps even gather users’ payment information, which threatens our financial security. Eventually, we may be terrified to find that our behaviors and preferences are under surveillance.

Therefore, in my opinion, some measures should be taken to prevent such behaviors. In the first place, the government should formulate relevant regulations to punish companies which collect and provide users’ personal information without their consent. In the second place, we should raise our awareness for personal information protection when installing and using apps and download apps from proper channels such as official sites of publishers, the App Store or Google Play.
