As is illustrated in the picture above, food safety is threatened by various dangerous additives such as pigment and spice. This means that such toxic substances will put our health at risk, which should draw our attention.

The phenomenon may be caused by following factors. In the first place, some enterprises focus all their attention on economic interests, ignoring the social responsibility that they should bear and disregarding other people’ s life. In the sec ond place, the authorities concerned fail to do all they could to ensure food safety, which allows adventurers to pursue as much profit as they can.

As far as I am concerned, severe measures should be taken to solve this problem. The government should set up effective laws and regulations to ensure the quality of products and make illegal traders pay a high price for what they have done. Besides, we consumers must raise the awareness of food safety and protect our legal rights if our health is threatened. Only in this way can we be able to build a securer and more harmonious society.
