The Tang Dynasty, lasting from 618 through 907, is the most glorious period in the history of China. With about 300 years’ development, China in Tang Dynasty emerged as the most prosperous power around the world. Chang’an, its capital, was billed as the world’s largest metropolis at that time. This era witnessed developed economy, flourishing business, stabilized social order and even opened borders. As urbanization gathered momentum and wealth continued to accumulate, arts and literature also became thriving. Li Bai and Du Fu were poets renowned for their simple and natural poems. Their poetry touched the hearts of numerous scholars and even ordinary people. Even nowadays, a large number of their poems are still widely read and recited by both children and adults.
