The Challenges of Living in a Big City
It is universally known that first-tier cities in China can provide people with better infrastructure and a lager arena to develop themselves and promote strengths in work field. However, nobody can deny the fact that living in a big city is filled with challenges and hardships.
On the one hand, dwelling in big cities means high living cost, insanely expensive housing price and serious traffic pressure. Young people are struggling with the burden of renting or purchasing a house. For example, to many Beijing drifters, a house of their own would be a dream out of reach. Even romantic relationship is a luxury for them. On the other hand, life in metropolises is fast-paced and the competition is much fiercer than small cities. Since lots of elites and dream seekers are swarming into metropolises, where there are many famous universities and corporations, the toughness far outweighs the pleasure.
In my opinion, where to stay is totally up to us. Once we have made up our mind, we should not change our goals easily no matter how difficult the environment is.
