A speech contest is going to be organized in our university and I have made a proposal for this event. The details are as follows.

The speech contest could give students an opportunity to improve their expression ability, and encourage them to share their thoughts with others. The topic of the contest can be “The Importance of Traditional Cultural Heritage” and it could be held at 2:00 p.m. on October 25th in our school’ s auditorium. If students are interested in participating such a contest or making a speech in front of the audience, they can send their application forms to the designated mailbox of the student union and they will receive replies within three days. The contestants need to prepare a 10-minute speech relevant to the given topic. After the presentation, the judges could give certain scores according to their performance and ask some questions related to their speeches. Winners will gain some prizes. Everyone is welcomed to take part in the speech contest.
