The use of Powerpoint (PPT) is becoming increasingly popular in class. As the popularization of multi-media in modern society, PPT has been playing an important role in teaching.

The driving forces of this phenomenon can be summarized as follows. Firstly, compared with traditional ways of teaching, PPT has many advantages, for example it contains many vivid pictures and videos which make the presentation more attractive. Secondly, with the digitization of our life in all kinds of fields, we can read PPT documents through mobile phones, computers, tablets, etc. Teachers can send the PPT to students after class, so that the students can focus their attention on following the teaching points in the class efficiency, without worrying about taking notes.

As analyzed above, the use of PPT is beneficial to teaching and learning. But it is also suggested that while enjoying the benefits of PPT, we should try not to rely too much on PPT.
