Chinese ink painting is a representative of Chinese painting, also known as “the national painting of China” in a narrow sense. Initially, Chinese ink painting only consisted of water and ink, black and white in color, but in its advanced form, there also appeared fine brushwork flower-and-bird painting in a variety of colors.
